There are no right or wrong clothing for Chemotherapy but here are some things you should consider.
#1: try to avoid wearing clothes with metal : (i.e. no underwire bra) First of all, you sleep better without them and if and when you need a MRI/ CT Scan or PET, there will be no need to change out of your clothes. Comfort and convenience!
#2: protect your head from the sun : I have said hair is over-rated and at the time it was. Hair is important because it protects your head from chills and most importantly from the sun! Usually by 2nd round of Chemo, your hair starts to thin out and sheds profusely. In order to protect your head, a scarf, a hoodie or a hat is wisely recommended.
#3: keep warm : Chemo is refrigerated and the IV fluid is also refrigerated, combining with hospital air-conditioning, COLD COLD COLD!!!. You need to keep yourself warm during treatment - most hospital provides blankets. PORT patient can wear an open front top but PICC patient, you are left with blankets unless you have the LooopClothing Sweatshirt. Remember, preparation is key to success.
